Reading Burst-Bottle Chains in Bottle Shoot 2
The violet bottle can damage its neighbors when it breaks. Look at distance and remaining durability before expecting one shot to clear a cluster.

The violet bottle changes the nearby layout
It appears from stage five onward. In Bottle Shoot 2, shattering a violet burst bottle applies one damage to surviving bottles whose centers sit within 145 internal units of its center.
The distance check uses both axes. A bottle above and beside the burst can lie outside the circular reach even when its horizontal separation alone looks smaller than the effect radius.
Think of a diagonal neighbor as an example. A center offset of 100 units sideways and 100 upward sits about 141 units away, while offsets of 110 and 110 sit about 156 away.
Cracked glass changes the chain's result
Check the blue bottle's remaining durability. Reinforced glass starts with two hit points, so a single burst damages an intact bottle but does not remove it unless an earlier hit already cracked it.
Ordinary neighbors need only one damage. If they sit inside the radius when the violet bottle shatters, they break during that chain rather than requiring you to send a separate shot through the cluster.
The arrangement can shift before contact. Later workshop bottles move, so the useful neighbors are those inside the radius when the burst occurs, rather than those you saw there while lining up the shot.
Gold and the combo meter affect the payoff
A shattered gold bottle adds one shot. If the burst reaches gold, the chain can replenish ammunition as well as score points, making that neighbor relevant to a low-ammunition finish.
Chain shatters receive a 40-point addition. The game adds that to the bottle's base score and any bank bonus before multiplying by the combo multiplier active for that individual shatter.
The combo grows as bottles break. Its multiplier increases every three shatters and caps at five, so several neighbors breaking from one burst can cross a multiplier threshold during the same chain.
A two-step plan for reinforced neighbors
Try this on a calm opening. Crack a nearby blue bottle first, then line up the violet bottle and check whether that weakened neighbor remains inside the effect radius during the next shot.
That plan spends a setup shot. Compare it with shooting the reinforced bottle twice directly, accounting for the ordinary neighbors and gold that the burst might also reach before choosing the longer preparation.
A mirror can change access as well. If the direct route to violet ends at the workshop barrier, a reflected lane may reach it and carry the bank scoring flag into the resulting chain.
Use the mirror contact guide for that route, or compare support-cluster removal in Fruit Shooter for another multi-target puzzle. Both sit in the shooting category, with more games on the Bottle Shooting homepage.
