A Saved Best Score Is Not a Saved Game
A best score can survive a reload while the current room restarts. Read the game's saved fields before expecting a return to the exact unfinished move.

Check which record the game stores
The arcade games save different pieces of progress. A best-score display can read a stored high score without storing the enemy wave, bottle positions or partial throw that was active before you refreshed the page.
Bottle Glide saves unlocked rooms, room stars and best completed slide counts. Returning opens the latest unlocked room from its starting board, so an unfinished arrangement does not reappear where you left the bottles.
The reset is therefore not enough to diagnose failure. If your unlocked rooms and stars remain available but the bottle positions return to their opening cells, those two results match the game's intended save behavior.
The browser supplies the stored record
The game reads its own local-storage entry. It does not ask a signed-in game account for those values, so opening the same page in a browser profile without that entry starts with the default record.
Clearing that website storage removes the entry. Once the saved value is absent, the current game code has no separate server copy it can use to reconstruct an earlier best score or a set of completed puzzle rooms.
A different hostname can also separate the storage. If you normally use the bare domain but open a host that serves the page under a different origin, you may not be reading the same browser entry.
A completed puzzle room is the useful checkpoint
Bottle Glide writes progress when the room clears. Finish a room, then revisit the room selector to confirm its stars and the newly available next room before relying on that completion as the saved point.
The best result survives a weaker replay. The game keeps the larger star award and the smaller completed slide count for each room, rather than replacing both records with whatever score the most recent replay produced.
Bottle Circuit follows a similar room-based pattern. Its stored unlocks and stars differ from the best-score-only entries used by several of the aiming games, so compare the particular game rather than assuming one universal save format.
Storage failure does not stop the puzzle
The game catches a failed storage read or write. You can keep playing in that session, but continuing to the next room on screen does not prove that the browser successfully retained the record for another visit.
Try one completed room as a check. Reopen the same game on the same site origin and inspect its selector, while keeping the distinction between a completed-room record and an unfinished arrangement clear during that comparison.
For control differences, return to the touch, keyboard and slider guide; for another deliberate replay, read which loft landings score again. Find the ice puzzle and Bottle Circuit in the puzzle category, then use the Bottle Shooting homepage to compare their room records with the arcade’s score-based games.
