Breaking Reinforced Glass Without Wasting a Ball

By Bottle Shooting3 min read

A blue band changes the damage requirement. Check the bottle's remaining durability before deciding whether a football, volleyball or basketball belongs on that route.

A reinforced bottle beside one basketball hit and two lighter-ball hit markers.

Your volleyball reaches the blue bottle. It cracks instead of shattering because Bottle Ball gives reinforced glass two hit points, while a volleyball contact supplies only one point of damage.

The second hit finishes the remaining durability

A football also deals one damage. Either light ball can crack intact reinforced glass, and another valid contact can finish it, so you do not have to repeat the same ball type for the second hit.

A basketball supplies two damage at once. Its first contact can shatter the intact banded bottle, saving a separate finishing throw if the heavier ball's trajectory reaches the target through the available lane.

Damage does not compensate for a miss. Switching to the stronger ball changes gravity, speed and collision radius, so read its preview again rather than copying the settings from the volleyball that touched the bottle.

Cracking and shattering are different scoring events

The first light hit earns no shatter points. A floor rebound into intact reinforced glass can leave it cracked without adding a bounce-hit count, because the game awards that result when the bottle actually breaks.

Judge the finishing throw on its own. If the later hit reaches the cracked bottle directly, it gets the normal shatter result even though the earlier damaging ball bounced on its way to the same shelf.

A lighter ball stops at the bottle

The football and volleyball end their flight there. A surviving reinforced target therefore prevents that ball from continuing toward another bottle, even when the visible incoming path lines up with glass beyond it.

The basketball can keep traveling after contact. It has a three-contact allowance, which makes a reinforced bottle a possible starting target for a combination rather than a guaranteed end to the whole throw.

Allow for a barrier in the lane. Destroying foam also consumes a basketball contact, so a route through one barrier and one reinforced bottle has spent two contacts before reaching anything behind that pair.

Use the cracked state as information

Has the blue band already cracked? A target with one hit point left can fall to either lighter ball, letting you save the stronger projectile for another intact reinforced bottle elsewhere on the court.

The spare ball may matter near the finish. Each arena starts with three basketballs, so spending one to deliver two damage to a bottle needing only one can leave fewer options for the remaining protected shelves.

For the flight differences, revisit the three-ball comparison; for efficiency goals, use a three-star throw budget. The court appears in the sports games category, while the Bottle Shooting homepage connects you to the other bottle games.
